SOUTHLAND and Otago have always had a fierce sporting rivalry, but it is also an interest and passion that brings us together.
Sport has often been described as the lifeblood of our communities and to reflect this the Otago Daily Times is launching an exciting new sport tabloid in Monday’s edition of the newspaper.
The ODT has a proud history of serving its community and identifying issues that impact on the lives of our readers.
We hold those in positions of power to account, but, most importantly, we celebrate success and the achievements of people in our communities across all fields – business, rural, arts, entertainment, sport and racing.
We are excited to extend our coverage in the south because we want to bring Southland sport back to its community.
Coverage will be from the latest Steel game to division three club rugby results in Southland.
We will also have the latest scores from club sport in the likes of Central Otago, South Otago, North Otago and Dunedin.
Don’t miss this special publication each Monday featuring the best of international, national and southern sport.
It does not end there for southern sports fans.
See Friday’s ODT for our sport and racing preview liftout which will include rugby previews of your weekend competitions.
