THE rain did not keep the cyclists away from the trails last weekend.

More than 70 competitors converged on Sandy Point on Sunday to the first of the Southland Mountain Bike Club’s H&J outdoor winter series.

Josh Burnett (competitor 306) won the first round in the Expert Open Male category with a time of 49:28.

“It was a pretty good day, it’s always hard but fun… It was a bit slippery out there with the rain but good fun,” Burnett said.short url linkNike Air Max 270
