The 39th annual South Island RSA snooker pairs championships was held at the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club (IWMC) last weekend.
IWMC snooker section chairman Lloyd Miller said 42 teams from throughout the South Island took part.
“I’m very happy with the turnout. This tournament is designed for RSA members and it doesn’t matter how good you are, it is a chance for everyone to get together,” he said.
Barry Ware and Ron Heaphy, from Timaru RSA, won the championship, with Ron Wilson and Doug Stuart, Invercargill RSA, runners-up.
