TWILIGHT racing returns to Invercargill next week when the Invercargill Harness Racing Club hosts a twilight meeting at Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill on Friday, February 25.
The 10-race meeting is scheduled to start at 3pm, which should see the event finish well into the southern twilight.
Being a Friday afternoon meeting, it is the perfect time to end the week a little early and head along to the races to enjoy a summer evening. Feature races include a heat of the Southern Belle Series supported by Vet South Equine and a heat of the Nevele R Stud/Macca Lodge Southland Oaks Series.
Tradies are being offered a race naming package which consists of a $500 plus gst payment to have your company name on a race while spending the evening in our sponsors’ bubble in the Top Of The Park Lounge.
Inquiries about this and any other bookings to enable patrons to attend as part of a bubble should be made to Southern Harness Racing promotions officer Lindsay Beer at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 021 351 499.
Patrons are reminded of the need to produce vaccine passports on admission to the races and to wear masks on arrival and leaving the course and also while going to totes, toilets and bars.
Industry participants and essential workers with a reason to attend the event plus owners, ticketed guests, sponsors and members who can be housed in separate bubbles of less than 100 people can also attend. Details for the general public will be advertised on the Southern Harness Racing Facebook page next week.
