THIS year’s Southland Gang Show will feature mute monks, clowns and even hits from Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift.
Director Bill Obers said about 29 scouts would perform in this year’s show at the Invercargill Repertory Society theatre.
Scouts from Invercargill, Gore, and the wider Southland area, ranging in age from 10 years through to some in their 50s would perform in the two-hour show which would feature skits and songs, he said.
“It’s a two-hour show which is full of family fun and entertainment.”
This year’s move to the new venue meant if the city was still at Alert Level 2 then it could still have audiences of 60 people at each of the four performances, he said.
The Southland Gang Show, held every second year, would be performed at 7pm on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, 25 and at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, September 26.
Extra shows might be performed if there was demand, Mr Obers said.
