Name: Cheyanne Pope
When and why did acquire it? My parents bought it for me for Christmas 2020. I really like Mark II Cortinas, but my Mum and Dad said they were too expensive.
What is the vehicle’s history? It was a three-owner car. It was bought from a couple in their 80s who used the car as their daily driver.
Has it been altered it in any way? Yes, the last owner changed it from three on the tree to four on the floor.
What’s it like to drive? Dad loves it, mum finds it difficult as it has no power steering.
Where’s your favourite stretch of road? Anywhere where Dad is driving and I’m in the passenger seat.
Top speed? It shakes and rattles at 100km but sits nicely around 90km.
Best driving experience? My first ride on Christmas day.
Worst driving experience? When mum was sitting at the [traffic] lights and it rolled back slightly, I thought she was going to crash my car!
What other vehicles of note have you owned? A buddy L pedal car and I have a hot rod ride-on lawnmower that my Dad and I did two years ago to enter the first Southern Grilles and Gasoline show in 2019.
Best music to drive to? Any, but the stereo does not work, so I get sick of mum singing.
Describe your driving style: I’m a lunatic just like my Dad!
If you could go for a drive in any vehicle it would be a…? Plymouth Road Runner.
What was the first vehicle you ever bought? Road legal, this one. I am only 10.
Do you belong to any clubs? I was born into the Southland Chevrolet Club as my parents have been members since 2009.
