FOR the past five years, Loss and Grief has been offering its services to the Southland Community.
Caroline Loo said the centre was opened on June 14, 2016, offering just a fraction of the services it now had available to people in need.
“Over the years we have grown in response to the community need and requests,” she said.
What made the organisation special were the people who worked in it, she said.
“We have a dedicated and skilled team of support workers, counsellors and volunteers.”
The organisation was extremely grateful to the Southland community for their support and funding which had enabled them to be available to those who were experiencing loss and grief, she said.
“We are honoured to have been able to support so many people over the years and look forward to continuing to provide compassionate support for many more years to come.”
To mark the organisation’s 5th birthday, Loss and Grief is running a special celebration raffle with five prize packages donated by the community.
The tickets, which are $5 each or three for $10, will be on sale at the Invercargill centre, at Windsor New World on June 17 and H & J Smith in Invercargill on June 18.
“Come along and see us at these venues and receive a special treat.”
