All deaf and hard of hearing children in Southland attend mainstream schools.
Southland team leader Jill Meikle said staff at Ko Taku Reo provided one-on-one support to pupils, teachers, teacher aides and families to ensure all children aged from pre-school to 18 received an equitable education.
There were about 30 students from Heriot to Stewart Island who received help from the organisation, she said. Photo: Karen Pasco
