Festival tickets may be limited

Tickets for this year’s Bluff Oyster and Food Festival will go on sale on Monday, February 1, from 9am.

Bluff publicity and promotions officer Lindsay Beer said tickets to the May 22 event would only be available from Ticketek and would be strictly limited because many people chose to roll their tickets over to this year’s event after the cancellation of last year’s festival due to Covid-19.

Mr Beer said after last year’s disappointment, tickets were expected to be in hot demand.

‘‘So get in quick to get your tickets this year.’’

This year’s festival would feature a huge range of food stalls, predominantly but not limited to seafood, with of course the succulent Bluff oyster the hottest item at the event, he said.

‘‘Good food required fine beverages and there would also be a diverse offering at the festival.’’

The popular annual oyster eating and oyster opening events, plus other novelty events were also set to captivate the audience once again, he said.

Musical entertainment was a big part of the day and a superb line-up of entertainment would feature on the main stage.
